If your problem is pricing or capacity rather than response time, an AI assistant won't fix it, and you'll hear that on the first call.

    Why this exists

Small businesses in South Africa lose a lot of work to one problem: nobody can get back to the customer fast enough. It isn't carelessness. You're on a roof, under a sink or with a client. The technology to reply within a minute and follow up automatically has only recently become good enough, and cheap enough, for a business with four staff rather than four hundred. SmartGrowth Local exists so the enquiries you already get turn into work you actually do.

    The person behind it

Maggie Kotzee started SmartGrowth Local to take the stress out of the part of running a business that gets neglected first: replying to people. She understands the overwhelm of wearing every hat, and how an unanswered enquiry or an unchased quote quietly costs a business work it never knew it lost.

Her mission is to simplify the tech and systems side of things, so owners can get on with what they do best. Drawing on years in corporate technology, digital marketing and business systems, she sets up practical, dependable systems that reply, follow up and book on a business’s behalf, so growth feels steadier and a lot less frantic.
